About Joseph Jacobs Book Posters
Joseph Jacobs was a pioneering folklorist whose fairy tale collections introduced generations of readers to the rich oral traditions of England, Ireland, and India. This collection brings together posters celebrating his most beloved works, transforming these essential folklore anthologies into minimalist wall art.
What distinguishes Joseph Jacobs book posters is their celebration of scholarly folk literature presented for young readers. His meticulous approach to collecting and retelling traditional stories created definitive versions that remain in print over a century later. Each poster captures the timeless appeal of narratives drawn from centuries of oral storytelling.
Featured titles include Celtic Fairy Tales (1892), which gathered Irish and Welsh folk stories; English Fairy Tales (1890), featuring tales like Jack and the Beanstalk; Fables (1889); and Indian Fairy Tales (1892). These Joseph Jacobs book posters work beautifully in children's rooms, libraries, or any space celebrating literary heritage and the art of storytelling.
Whether you're a folklore enthusiast, educator, or collector of children's literature classics, these posters honour a scholar who preserved cultural narratives for modern audiences. Each design is available in multiple art styles including Modern, Minimalist, Square, and Edge, with framed and unframed options.
Browse our Joseph Jacobs collection to find the perfect poster celebrating fairy tales and folklore from around the world.
