Why a book print makes a good Christmas present
For grandparents who've spent a lifetime reading, a gift that celebrates the books they've loved feels far more thoughtful than another jumper. A literary print brings a favourite title into their home as proper wall art, a quiet nod to the stories that shaped them, and something they'll actually want to display.
How to choose
Think about the books that meant something to them growing up. A grandparent who grew up on Mark Twain will love The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, while a Dickens devotee might prefer the gentle comedy of The Pickwick Papers or the sweeping drama of David Copperfield. If they've always had a soft spot for cosy village life, Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell is a warm and witty choice. And for grandparents who love a Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th Street brings festive charm without straying into anything too twee.
Size, frame and style tips
Each design comes in six styles, from the bold Blurby look to the pared-back Modern Minimalist, so you can match the print to their taste, whether that's a traditional sitting room or a more contemporary flat. Sizes run from A5 up to A1, plus US inch sizes, so there's a fit for every wall, from a cosy hallway to a proper feature spot above the mantelpiece. Choose a real pine wood frame in wood, black or white finish and it arrives ready to hang, no trips to the framers required. A5 prints start at £14.99, so it's easy to find something that suits.
Making it a proper Christmas gift
Add a free gift note and it'll be printed on a card and packed in with the poster, so there's no scrabbling for wrapping paper on Christmas Eve. Buying for more than one grandparent, or picking up gifts for siblings too? Buy three prints and 20% off is applied automatically. Every poster is made to order on premium paper with archival inks and printed locally, with free tracked delivery across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and the EU, so it's worth ordering early to give it the time it needs to arrive.
