Christmas Gifts for Teachers

Why a book print makes a good Christmas present for teachers

Teachers spend the year immersed in the books they teach, so a print of a set text or a classic they love feels personal rather than generic. It's something for their classroom wall, their desk at home, or the staff room, and it says thank you far better than another box of chocolates.

How to choose

Think about what they teach or what they studied themselves. An English literature teacher marking essays on Hamlet or The Tempest will appreciate a Shakespeare print they can point to on the wall. A head of department who loves the Victorians might prefer Great Expectations or Jane Eyre. For GCSE English teachers, Lord of the Flies and Romeo and Juliet are always on the syllabus and always well loved. If you're not sure of their favourite, a well-known classic is a safe and thoughtful choice.

Size, frame and style tips

A5 prints start at £14.99, so they suit a Secret Santa or a small thank-you without needing to be extravagant. For a head of year, a retiring teacher or a whole department gift, go larger and choose a real pine wood frame in a wood, black or white finish, arriving framed and ready to hang, no assembly needed. Each poster comes in six styles, from Blurby and Minimalist to Modern and Edge, so you can match the print to the teacher's classroom or the staff room's decor.

Making it a proper Christmas gift

This is a lovely one for a class or a group of parents to club together on, especially for a form tutor or a retiring teacher. Choose three prints and the 20% off applies automatically, which makes a set of three classics, or three sizes for a bigger wall display, an easy way to make the gift feel more generous without extra effort. Add a free gift note with your message, printed on a card and packed with the poster, so the whole class or the parent group can sign it together. Every print is made to order and printed locally, so do order early to leave plenty of time before term ends.
