Lyra Belacqua leaves the spires of Oxford behind to journey into the frozen north, searching for children who have vanished. What she uncovers is a chilling experiment designed to sever children from their daemons, and a fight for freedom that will define her.

The Subtle Knife (1997)

Lyra steps through into a parallel Oxford and meets Will Parry, a boy searching for his missing father. Together they discover a knife capable of cutting between worlds, drawing the attention of powerful and dangerous forces on their trail.

The Amber Spyglass (2000)

The trilogy reaches its epic conclusion as Lyra and Will travel through parallel worlds to rescue Roger from the land of the dead. Meanwhile Lord Asriel leads a rebellion against the Authority itself, in a story that weighs freedom, morality and mortality.
