Why these three belong together

Each of these stories puts a clever, resourceful young hero (or, in the case of the Twits' monkeys, some very put-upon creatures) up against grown-ups behaving badly. Together they capture the heart of Dahl's world: courage, cunning and a gleeful sense of justice being served. Matilda (1988)

Matilda tells the story of a brilliant little girl overlooked by her own family and menaced at school by the fearsome Miss Trunchbull. Using her wit, and eventually her extraordinary powers, she turns the tables on the grown-ups who underestimate her. It remains one of Dahl's most beloved tales of quiet courage winning out.

James and the Giant Peach (1961)

After escaping his dreadful aunts, young James finds himself swept off on an extraordinary journey inside a giant magic peach. Alongside a crew of oversized insect friends, he faces storms, sharks and the open sea in a story about friendship and finding home in unexpected places.

The Twits (1980)

Mr and Mrs Twit are two of literature's most delightfully horrible characters, forever playing revolting tricks on one another. When they plan to force a troupe of monkeys into an upside-down circus, the tables turn in the most satisfying way. It is Dahl at his gleefully dark comic best.

Sizes are the printed paper. A frame adds a border around the print, so a framed piece covers a little more wall than the figures above. Prices for each size are shown on the product page.

Where to hang it

On its own
Hang so the middle of the print sits about 145 cm from the floor. That is eye level for most people and the height galleries use.
Above a sofa or bed
Leave 15 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame, and pick a print roughly two thirds the width of the sofa.
A set of three
Keep 5 to 8 cm between frames and line up their middles. Three A4s or three A3s side by side read as one piece.
A gallery wall
Mix A5 and A4 around one larger A3 or A2. Lay it out on the floor first, then hang from the middle outwards.
