Good to know
Do I have to buy this exact set?
No. A set is just three of our prints chosen to hang well together. The 20% saving is our Buy 3 offer, so it applies to any three (or more) prints in your basket. Swap a poster, change a style, or build your own wall from scratch by adding 3 prints or more to your basket.
What sizes and frames can I choose?
Every print comes in A5 to A1 and 12×18 to 24×36 inches. Framed prints arrive in a natural wood, black or white frame, ready to hang. Here the size and frame apply to all three; for a different size per print, add each poster from its own page.
Can I choose a different style for each print?
Yes. Pick Style X, Y or Z for each poster above, or open any poster to see all six of our styles for that book.
How long does delivery take?
Order by 1pm (Mon–Fri) and your prints are dispatched the same day. Delivery is free and tracked to the UK, US, Canada, Australia and the EU, and each print is made locally in your region.
Is it giftable?
Very. Add a free gift note at checkout. Unframed prints travel rolled in a protective tube; framed prints are packed flat.

For anyone who has ever wanted to step through the door at Bag End and keep walking all the way to the First Age, this trio brings together the beginning, the beginning-before-the-beginning, and one of the most tragic tales Middle-earth has to offer. Three prints, one sweeping mythology, endlessly rehangable on your wall.
Why these three belong together
Tolkien built Middle-earth in layers, and this set lets you hang them side by side. The Hobbit is the reader's first step into that world, warm and adventurous, while The Silmarillion pulls the camera back to reveal the vast history behind it all. The Children of Húrin then zooms back in, giving one thread of that history its own tragic, fully realised shape. Together they trace a journey from cosy beginnings to cosmic scale and back down to deeply personal tragedy.
The Hobbit (1937)
Bilbo Baggins, a simple hobbit content with his quiet life, is swept into an unlikely adventure with a company of dwarves determined to reclaim their lost kingdom. Along the way he faces dragons, goblins and, most surprisingly, a hidden reserve of courage he never knew he had.
The Silmarillion (1977)
Published posthumously, this is the mythological bedrock of Middle-earth, telling of the world's creation, the theft of the radiant Silmarils, and the long war fought by elves and men against the first Dark Lord, Morgoth. It reads like scripture for a world that never existed, and is all the richer for it.
The Children of Húrin (2007)
Set in that same First Age, this is the story of a warrior who defies Morgoth and the terrible curse laid upon his family as a result. At its centre is Túrin, a hero doomed by fate, whose every attempt to do right seems to bring ruin to those he loves most.
Styling your Middle-earth wall
This set works beautifully in a reading nook, a study or along a staircase wall, hung in hanging order so the story arcs from adventure through myth to tragedy. Choose oak framing for something warm and rustic in keeping with Bilbo's world, or black framing for a bolder, more dramatic feel that suits the darker Silmarillion and Húrin tales. The set comes in Modern, Modern Minimalist, Square and Edge styles, so you can mix bold graphic shapes with softer, painterly tones depending on your room. And remember, buy any three prints and save 20%, whether you keep this trio together or mix in favourites from elsewhere in the shop.
What size poster should I buy?
Paper sizes are hard to picture. Below, every size we print is hung on the same living room wall, to scale above a 2.2 m sofa, so you can see the real difference between an A4 and an A2 before you order.
Every size, on a real wall

Sizes are the printed paper. A frame adds a border around the print, so a framed piece covers a little more wall than the figures above. Prices for each size are shown on the product page.
Where to hang it
On its own
Hang so the middle of the print sits about 145 cm from the floor. That is eye level for most people and the height galleries use.
Above a sofa or bed
Leave 15 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame, and pick a print roughly two thirds the width of the sofa.
A set of three
Keep 5 to 8 cm between frames and line up their middles. Three A4s or three A3s side by side read as one piece.
A gallery wall
Mix A5 and A4 around one larger A3 or A2. Lay it out on the floor first, then hang from the middle outwards.
