Why these three belong together

Burnett wrote children into extraordinary circumstances and let their character carry them through. Mary, Sara and Cedric each face upheaval, loss or loneliness, and each answers it with imagination, courage and an open heart. Hung together, these three prints tell a quiet story of their own, about resilience finding its way through hardship and into hope.

The Secret Garden (1911)

Orphaned and sent to live in her uncle's brooding Yorkshire mansion, young Mary Lennox stumbles upon a locked, overgrown garden that no one has tended for years. As she coaxes it back to life, the garden works its own quiet magic, healing not just the grounds but the wounded hearts of everyone who finds their way into it.

A Little Princess (1905)

Sara Crewe is the darling of her boarding school until her father's sudden death leaves her penniless and at the mercy of the cruel Miss Minchin. Reduced to a servant in the very halls where she once reigned, Sara clings to her imagination and inner dignity, refusing to let circumstance dim her spirit.

Little Lord Fauntleroy (1886)

Cedric Errol is an ordinary, good-natured boy in New York until he learns he is heir to an English earldom, and is whisked away to the side of his stern, embittered grandfather. Through nothing more than his natural warmth and honesty, Cedric slowly thaws the old man's heart and reshapes what nobility really means.

Sizes are the printed paper. A frame adds a border around the print, so a framed piece covers a little more wall than the figures above. Prices for each size are shown on the product page.

Where to hang it

On its own
Hang so the middle of the print sits about 145 cm from the floor. That is eye level for most people and the height galleries use.
Above a sofa or bed
Leave 15 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame, and pick a print roughly two thirds the width of the sofa.
A set of three
Keep 5 to 8 cm between frames and line up their middles. Three A4s or three A3s side by side read as one piece.
A gallery wall
Mix A5 and A4 around one larger A3 or A2. Lay it out on the floor first, then hang from the middle outwards.
